Tattoo Tales

Do you like tattoos? Do you maybe have a tattoo yourself? Did you take your time to think about it, before deciding on a picture or a symbol?

What if, from birth, each and every one of us – without exception – developed pictures on our skin? These skin-pictures, these tattoos develop all by themselves. Beautiful flowers or colourful butterflies, maybe even a poisonous snake, grim skulls, or the devil himself? Your pictures want to tell you something. They want to warn you, guide you, and protect you. They show you who you can trust, who you should love...

Abby and Jack are obviously destined for each other. Their tattoos have brought them from different parts of the world to Devon, the southern coast of England. Their skin-pictures are clear. They both need to be right here, right now. But suddenly, nothing is as it seems. Everything that seemed so clear is now in question. Has Abby misinterpreted her tattoos? Has Jack only lies written on his body?

In the search for the truth, things come to light that no one was prepared for. But can you trust the supposed truth? Tattoos don’t lie... or do they?

A story about secrets, love, passion, and destiny.

Abigail Anderson from Montana, USA, has interpreted the images on her body as a sign to travel to Torquay, South England. Enthralled by English history, she wants to attend the renowned University of Tattoo Arts to study Victorian tattoo art. Abby takes a job at a hotel on the Torquay coast and meets Jack.

After finishing his studies in Melbourne, Australia, Jack Wilson takes a break and follows his tattoos to Torquay, England. After many talks with his parents, who disagreed that Jack should travel to the UK, Jack puts his trust in his tattoos and his gut feeling and travels to England. He knows he belongs there and quickly feels at home and happy in his new surroundings.

Abby and Jack – both strangers in this country – become friends and explore their new environment together. With every meeting, every adventure, and every experience, they grow closer.

They fall in love, and soon both know the other’s tattoos and their meanings. Or so they think.

They are repeatedly drawn to Tintagel. There stands a statue of King Arthur on the cliffs – the wild waves and white foam of the Atlantic Ocean in the background, crashing untamed against the cliffs. This knight is the exact picture that Jack has on this upper arm. This knight, this tattoo has brought him here. But why? Jack can feel: this is where he belongs. This is where his soul is, where his place is.

Weeks and months pass, and Jack’s time in England comes to an end. He has to return to Australia and find a job. The farewell is terrible, and he knows does not want to live without Abby. He will return to England...

Abby suffers deeply from the separation. She longs for Jack. But what if she misinterpreted her tattoos? After a few months, Jack decides to return to Abby – and with that, the nightmare begins.

Let yourself be enchanted... a story that gets under your skin...
